The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a global emergency. During this challenging time, Medallion Lab’s top priority is the health and well-being of our employees followed by our commitment to minimizing the disruption of services to you, our valued customer. While we are making every effort to mitigate negative impacts or disruptions for our customers, you may experience an increased turn-around-time on your results in the next two to three weeks. Also, in the event we run into supply chain issues on any of our materials, a disruption in our ability to run specific assays may arise.
Although no business continuity plan can provide complete assurance of the removal of risk, we are committed to developing and implementing strong processes and controls to minimize the risk to our employee’s health. We have taken the following steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and to optimize operational continuity and service availability to you:
- All employees who can work from home will be doing so effective March 16 – April 1 at this time.
- On-site staff is being reduced and will be moved to staggered shifts.
- Cancellation of all upcoming facility visits from clients and vendors.
- Segregation within the laboratory to maintain social distance.
This is a dynamic and ever-changing time. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and regularly modify our continuity plan as conditions dictate. We will contact clients individually about any problems, changes, or deviations to their projects.
