Which fiber test(s) do you need?

Question 1: What sources of Dietary Fiber are in your sample?

Traditional: samples contain cereal grains, bran, fibers, psyllium, etc.
Fructans: samples are pure or contains Fructans
Polydextrose: samples are pure or contain polydextrose
Other Non-Traditional: Soluble corn fiber, other processed sources of ROs, in addition to traditional sources
Mixed Non-Trad: Any combimation of 1 or more non-traditional fiber ingredients, in addition to traditional sources

Question 2: Does your sample include naturally-occuring Resistant Oligosaccharides (ROs)?

Resistant Oligosaccharides are soluble polysaccarides from 3 to approx 20-25 sugar units linked together which are resistant to digestion. They can be measured and declared as fiber if they are analyzed by the appropriate method.

Question 3: Do you need to know insoluble/soluble fiber split, for example for calorie reduction?

Question 4: Do you need to know Fructans or polydextrose levels for process tracking or for calorie reduction?

Question 5: Does your sample contain psyllium?
